Helping A Neighbour Develop & Serve means caring for those around us, helping to meet their practical needs as well as the spiritual. Providing and educating in the area of Health Care, assisting with Education, distributing donated clothing and toys, building water tanks where people rely on rain water for survival.
One man, years ago, had a great vision. He stood on an island, a seemingly insignificant place, and with eyesight that saw beyond space and time to the realm of destiny and adventure, he proclaimed it and all the lands to the south the Australia south pacific region to be named the “Great Southlands of the Holy Spirit.” The island was Santo, in the tiny Pacific nation of Vanuatu.
Another man, centuries later, saw a vision of waves lapping on the shores of all the nations of the earth. As he peered closer, he saw that the waves were in fact young people- ordinary, enthusiastic and full of energy, spreading the love of Christ through all the nations, then began a new ministry called Youth with a Mission.
Love Vanuatu Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) provides an opportunity for young people today (and the young at heart!) to be a part of the unfolding destiny of God’s world- the amazing adventure that is a life surrendered to Him.
The pulse of the DTS, the lifeblood that feeds its being, is to “know God and make Him known.”
Don’t let the word “school” give you the wrong idea, though! DTS is more about a life transformed than it is about cramming heads with knowledge. It’s about taking time out to draw near to God, catch the rhythm of His heartbeat for the nations, and get out amongst the exciting things He is doing throughout the world.
Classroom of Life- a hard-core “Survivor” style adventure camp; an opportunity to discover where your strengths lie. Learn the value of teamwork & unity.
Emerging Generations Ministries- got a heart for the young? Around 60% of people in the Pacific Region are under the age of 18. If you want to make a difference in the generations coming after you, these youth and children are waiting.
Teaching- by a world class, international cast of speakers on topics such as encountering God, seeing life from God’s perspective and becoming more like Jesus. If you open your heart as well as your mind, you will be changed.
Outreach- the practical part, where you get to put legs on the teaching you’ve received and the faith you’ve nurtured, along with using the skills you’ve learned in your area of ministry. Prepare to be stretched, and be ready for action! Locations vary and may include the Pacific, Australia, Asia (in partnership with YWAM and YWAM King’s Kids International) and North America.

Tuition Fees
Lecture Phase: 280,000 Vatu. (approx USD$3,000)
Costs include accommodation, food, lecture costs, international speakers, team transport, aid project materials, school T-shirt.
Outreach Phase: Outreach will be an additional 95,000 – 190,000 Vatu (approx $1000 - $2000 USD) plus airfare prices depending outreach location and at that time. This price includes internal transport, accommodation, food and aid project materials. Does not include airfares, recreation or personal costs.
